Vacation Bible School is almost here. June 14th - 18th, 2010 from 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. We’re setting sail for VBS fun on the HIGH SEAS! Our Weekday Preschool ministry provides a quality, Christian-based preschool program with a strong academic curriculum for children ages 8 weeks through Pre-K. Each class includes age-appropriate curriculum that covers such topics as phonics, math, art, science, Bible lessons, sign language, Spanish and fine & gross motor skills.

The hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., during the school year. Children can attend one to four days per week. Weekday Preschool is currently enrolling students for the 2010-2011 school year.

Children's Sunday School meets from 9:15 - 10:15 AM each Sunday morning.

Nursery
A nursery is available for babies from birth to 2 years of age and is located on the first floor of the Kluck Building. It is provided for all worship services and church-wide events. Modern facilities and paid workers provide safe and effective care. Parents are provided pagers if the nursery workers have a need to contact them during Sunday School or worship services. It is our hope that your infants have a wonderful experience while you do the same during your time at Second Baptist.

Pre-School
Sunday School classes for children ages 2 through pre-kindergarten meet on the first floor of the Kluck building.

Kindergarten through 5th grade
Elementary Sunday School classes meet on the second floor of the Kluck building. Classes are divided into age groups as follows:

• K - 1st grade
• 2nd - 3rd grade
• 4th - 5th grade boys and girls classes

Children's Worship is provided for 3 and 4 year-olds during the Sunday Morning Worship Service.

Children's Choir meets on Wednesday night from 6:00 - 7:00 PM during the school year.

Pre-K Children's Choir meets on the first floor of the Kluck building. The Pre-K Choir presents songs during the worship service throughout the year.

Children's Choir, ages K through 5th grade meet on the second floor of the Kluck building. Children learn songs to present to the church as well as participating in interactive games and worship.

Pre-K
Big, Big, God! Bible stories come to life through interactive games, storytelling, exciting crafts, scrumptious snacks, and more.

Elementary ages (1st grade through 5th grade)
Large as Life. Bible stories become reality as kids discover every thrilling twist and turn for themselves! With Large-as-Life Bible Adventures kids will be astonished--and hooked--as they: enter the belly of a fish with Jonah, battle alongside Gideon & his 300 soldiers, sail with Noah on the ark, and jump into other dramatic Bible stories!

Our church has TeamKid for elementary aged children and In His Hands for Pre-K through K. These are programs that emphasize studies on missions as well scripture memorization. Sunday evenings 5:30 - 7:00 PM.

Every summer our church has a free, four-day program for children ages 3 through 5th grade. VBS meets from 5:30 - 8:00 PM Monday through Thursday evenings for one week in June. Transportation is provided, if needed. Check back for this year's VBS dates!!
